
Commissioner Quetta Chairs Meeting To Address Transporters Issues

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jul, 2025) Commissioner Quetta Division Shahzeb Khan Kakar on Wednesday chaired a meeting to resolve the problems of transporters.
The meeting was attended by Secretary RTA Quetta Muhammad Ali, officials of the Transport Union and other
officers.
The meeting discussed issues related to departure time, closure of old buses, implementation of fares, security
on national highways, check posts and illegal two-day services.
It was decided in the meeting that action should be taken against illegal 2D services and steps to be taken to bring them under the purview of the law by issuing permits.
The Commissioner said that the Highways Police and Motorway Police would be bound to provide security to passengers on national highways saying that a plan of action should be formulated regarding action against old local buses so that the trust of transporters and the public is gained.
He said that a reasonable solution would be found by taking all the relevant institutions into confidence to address the problems of transporters.
