CPWB Hands Over 3,929 Children To Parents In Eight Months

LAHORE,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -24th Augst,2016) : Family tracing teams of the Child Protection & Welfare Bureau (CPWB) handed over 3,929 run away and missed children to their parents during last eight months. According to a spokesman of the CPWB, family tracing teams of Lahore handed over 849 children to parents, Faisalabad 513, Gujranwala 833, Multan 491, Rawalpindi 701, Sialkot 378 and Bahawalpur team sent back 164 children to their homes who were run away or missed.
Chairperson CPWB Saba Sadiq said the bureau and police were using all resources to trace out missed children and data was also being collected from NGOs and shelter homes. She appealed to people to inform the bureau about any run away child by calling helpline 1121 so that they could be sent back to their homes.
