
DC Chairs Meeting To Ensure Govt Notified Sugar Prices

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jul, 2025) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shaheed Benazirabad, Abdul Samad Nizamani, chaired a meeting at DC office to ensure implementation of the government-notified sugar prices.
The meeting was attended by Additional DC Hassan Zafar, Information Officer Ejaz Ali Teevino, representatives from all sugar mills in the district, members of the Price Control Committee and wholesale sugar dealers.
Addressing the meeting, DC said that there are four sugar mills operating in Shaheed Benazirabad district, and their presence should benefit the public in the form of accessible sugar prices.
He directed representatives of the sugar mills to ensure the supply of sugar to wholesale dealers strictly as per mill policies and government-fixed rates.
DC also instructed wholesale dealers to adhere to the officially set prices when selling sugar. He warned that strict action will be taken by the district administration against those found selling sugar at inflated prices.
During the meeting, the wholesale price of sugar was fixed at Rs167 per kilogram, while the retail price was set at Rs169 per kilogram.
Representatives of Habib, Al-Noor, Bandhi, and Sakrand Sugar Mills also shared detailed information regarding current stock levels and pricing during the session.
