DC Inspects Counters For Wheat Farmers' Pay Order Distribution

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jul, 2025) Deputy Commissioner Capt (R) Muhammad Waseem on Saturday visited the Agriculture Extension Office to inspect the counters set up for the distribution of pay orders to wheat farmers.

During the visit, he was accompanied by Director Agriculture Shahid Hussain and Assistant Commissioner Shireen Gill. The DC was briefed that pay orders were being issued to 5,404 eligible farmers owning up to 12 acres of land across the district to ensure timely payments under the wheat procurement policy.

DC Muhammad Waseem interacted with the farmers present at the counters, listened to their concerns, and assessed the available facilities and staff performance.

He directed the relevant officials to ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience during the process.

He emphasized that the current government is committed to farmer-friendly policies, and the distribution of pay orders is being carried out swiftly and transparently.

DC Capt retd Muhammad Waseem further stated that protecting farmers’ rights is a top priority under the special instructions of the Chief Minister, and any negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.
