LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jul, 2025) In a decisive push to reclaim public spaces and uplift the city’s environment, the district administration has launched a vigorous anti-encroachment campaign across several areas of the provincial capital.

In just 24 hours, the district administration removed 27 truckloads of illegally placed goods and structures from areas including Hajji Camp, Naulakha, Shanghai Road, and Nabha Road.

The operation, aimed at eliminating both permanent and temporary encroachments, is part of a comprehensive plan to enhance the livability of Lahore by reducing visual pollution and restoring urban order. Banners, signboards, and other obstructive elements contributing to cluttered cityscapes were systematically removed during the crackdown.

Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza has said that the campaign would continue relentlessly until all forms of encroachment are eradicated. He stressed the administration’s resolve to enforce the law without discrimination, ensuring fairness and transparency throughout the process.

The DC also highlighted that the initiative has the full backing of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who remains committed to improving civic infrastructure, beautification, and accessibility for the people of Punjab. The drive is already yielding visible improvements in traffic flow, pedestrian mobility, and overall urban aesthetics, marking a significant step towards a cleaner, healthier, and more organized Lahore.
