DC Kohat Honors Disabled With Financial Assistance Ceremony

A grand ceremony was organized on Friday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohat, Abdul Akram in which the steps taken for the financial assistance and welfare of the disabled were highlighted

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2025) A grand ceremony was organized on Friday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohat, Abdul Akram in which the steps taken for the financial assistance and welfare of the disabled were highlighted.

According to DC office, the ceremony was attended by Chairman Gumbat, Mr. Sajid Iqbal, representatives of the MOL Company, civil society members, district officers and disabled people.

On this occasion, the speakers described the disabled as an important and respectable part of the society and announced further steps for their welfare by the government and private institutions.

During the ceremony, financial assistance cheques were distributed among the deserving disabled people so that they could meet their daily expenses, receive treatment or start a small business.

The DC, while speaking, said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is utilizing all possible resources for the rehabilitation and self-reliance of the disabled people.

He stressed that along with government institutions, the private sector should also actively participate in such initiatives.

Finally, the disabled people thanked the district administration and other institutions for this assistance and called it an encouraging step.
