
DC Reviews Ongoing Projects Under LDP

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jul, 2025) Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza visited Bhutto Colony in UC-10 to inspect the progress of development projects being carried out under the Lahore Development Programme (LDP).
He was accompanied by Chief Officer MCL Shahid Abbas Kathia, Assistant Commissioner Ravi Syeda Sunbal Javed, and officials from WASA and other departments.
During the briefing, the DC was informed that sewerage installation work in 17 out of 20 streets in Bhutto Colony has been completed. He emphasized that all projects under the Lahore Development Programme must be completed with transparency, efficiency, and high-quality standards, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab.
Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza said that development work should be durable and sustainable to serve the citizens effectively over the long term. He reiterated that there will be no compromise on the quality, transparency, and pace of ongoing projects. He directed WASA to expedite the remaining sewerage system installations and instructed that all illegal encroachments be immediately removed during construction activities.
The DC specifically ordered the demolition of makeshift structures and roadside sheds to enhance the aesthetics of the streets. He further stressed that public infrastructure projects must be sustainable to ensure long-term benefits for residents. NESPAK has been directed to maintain the highest construction standards, and all safety protocols must be strictly followed throughout the development process.
In view of the ongoing monsoon season, Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza emphasized the importance of implementing preventive safety measures to avoid any untoward incidents.
Meanwhile, DC Syed Musa Raza visited various areas of Ravi Tehsil, including Shahdara Chowk and Begum Kot, to review administrative affairs. He expressed dissatisfaction over poor sanitation and directed immediate improvements. The DC emphasized removing encroachments, resolving sewerage issues, and completing cleanliness before daily activities begin. He also called for public awareness campaigns and warned that negligence in duties will not be tolerated.
