
DIG Tariq Briefs Sherdil Squad, Reaffirms Commitment To Public Safety

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jul, 2025) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad Police Muhammad Jawad Tariq, accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Muhammad Shoaib Khan, held a detailed briefing session with the officers and personnel of the Sherdil Squad to reinforce the force’s resolve for maintaining peace and protecting lives in the Federal capital.
An official told APP on Tuesday that the session focused on strengthening operational preparedness, ensuring professional conduct, and promoting a citizen-friendly policing approach. Addressing the squad, DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq emphasized that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the foremost priority of Islamabad Police.
He directed all officers and personnel to treat the public with respect and uphold the values of honesty and integrity in the performance of their duties. "Maintain a professional appearance, respond swiftly to any law and order situation, and be ready at all times to act within the framework of the law," he said.
DIG Tariq reiterated that all possible measures will be taken to ensure peace and security in Islamabad.
He affirmed that Islamabad Police is committed to transforming the federal capital into a haven of peace and will leave no stone unturned in this mission./APP-rzr-mkz
