Encroachment Drive Clears Over 2 Kanals Of Govt Land Worth Rs. 40 Million In DIKhan

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2025) In a major move under the ongoing anti-encroachment campaign, the district administration of Dera Ismail Khan cleared 2 kanals and 3.66 marlas of illegally occupied government land worth approximately Rs. 40. 615 million.

The operation was conducted on Sunday under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Syed Muhammad Arsalan at two key locations;Thoya Sial and Band Dhappa Wala along the banks of the Indus River.

The drive targeted temporary and permanent encroachments on lands owned by the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) and the Irrigation Department.

The joint operation saw active participation from the Tehsildar Dera, TMO, Girdawar, revenue officials, and TMA staff, with support from Dera police ensuring law and order during the action.

According to officials, the cleared land had been under illegal occupation and posed risks not only to government property but also to public safety during flood seasons.

The district administration reiterated its commitment to continue the anti-encroachment campaign without discrimination, aiming to safeguard public land and protect citizens from flood hazards.
