Food Poisoning: One Child Dies, Three Shifted To Hospital

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Jul, 2025) One of four children has died due to food poisoning at their home in Sama Satta area, however, remaining three were rescued and shifted to Bahawal Victoria Hospital.

Official sources in the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue-1122) said that four children suffered food poisoning after eating potato curry at their house in Tanga Adda area in Sama Satta town, some 10 kilometers off Bahawalpur city, adding that one of them died at home, however, three others were rescued and shifted to Bahawal Victoria Hospital.

The dead was identified as six-year-old, Salman. Other three who were being medically treated at Bahawal Victoria Hospital were recognized as four-years-old Usman, three-years-old, Altaf and three-years-old Luqman. According to doctors, the victims were out of danger. The local police have been investigating the incident. Further probe was underway.
