Kashmir Solidarity Day to be observed with great enthusiasm on 5th August: DC Larkana

LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Jul, 2025) The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Larkana, Wajahat Ghaffar Mirani, has said that Kashmir Solidarity Day will be observed with great enthusiasm on August 5, 2025. On that day, a main rally will be taken out from Government Pilot Higher Secondary school and national and Kashmiri flags will be displayed along various roads of the city.

He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting held at the Darbar Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Larkana on Thursday, in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day.

He stated that on this occasion, speech competitions will be held in schools, and children will also present tableaus. He further said that India enforced Article 370 on August 5, unlawfully occupying Kashmir, therefore he instructed that officers from every department should actively participate in the rally along with their staff, and posters should be displayed highlighting the illegal occupation of Kashmir.

He emphasized that children’s participation in this program is essential, particularly children from Sweet Home should also be included in the program. On this occasion, he directed the District education Officer (Secondary Schools), Larkana, to organize as many programs as possible in connection with August 5.

He further instructed the local government officers that representatives of every union council in Larkana must participate in the organized programs and national as well as Kashmiri flags should be displayed in every union council.

Similarly, Assistant Commissioners of each taluka were instructed to make arrangements in their respective union committees and organize rallies and events.

The DC also instructed that all department officers should create a WhatsApp group so they can share their program details with one another.

On the occasion, representatives of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Medical University, Larkana, said that they would also organize various programs at the university to highlight the significance of the day.

During the meeting, the representative of the District Boys Scouts said that events would be organized in connection with August 5, particularly at Khirra Complex, where competitions in karate, table tennis, football, and other sports would be held, along with the presentation of tableaus.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioners of the talukas, DEO Secondary Schools Larkana, DEO Primary Schools Larkana, District Health Officer Larkana, Assistant Director of HESCO, Assistant Director of Social Welfare Larkana, President of District Boys Scouts Larkana, and other relevant officials.
