TARBELA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2025) Torrential rains have triggered heavy landslides in the Nara Amazai and Beat Gali areas across Tarbela Lake in Tehsil Ghazi, resulting in the complete closure of connecting roads and severing land access to the region.
According to local sources, the relentless downpour has wreaked havoc in Union Council Nara Amazai and Beat Gali, disrupting daily life. The electricity supply has collapsed, and the main access road has been blocked, effectively cutting off the area from Tehsil Ghazi and Topi.
In addition, the Garhi Shah Muhammad link road has also been closed to traffic due to landslides, leaving residents struggling to transport essential goods.
Several other key routes including the Amazai main road and link roads to Beat Gali, Karmu, Kanirri, and Zaida have been blocked at multiple points, further isolating the area.
Rain continues to fall intermittently, raising concerns about further disruptions. Local residents have called on the provincial government and district administration to take urgent notice of the situation and expedite efforts to clear the roads and restore connectivity.
