
Man Arrested For Fake Robbery Call To Emergency Helpline 15

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jul, 2025) Police have arrested a man for making a fake call to the emergency helpline 15 and staging drama of a robbery.
According to police, the man had called the police helpline and claimed that four armed men had snatched his cash, mobile phone and motorcycle at gunpoint.
Acting swiftly, the police reached the scene.
However, during the investigation, it was found that no robbery had taken place. Instead, the man’s brother had hidden Rs 260,000 and the motorcycle in his shop.
To cover up, they staged a fake robbery and reported it to the police.
Rata Amral police registered a case against the man for making a bogus emergency call and took him into custody.
SP Rawal Muhammad Haseeb Raja warned that the 15 helpline is meant for public safety and any misuse will lead to legal action.
