
Many Event Scheduled In Rawalpindi To Mark Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jul, 2025) Many events will be held across the Rawalpindi District to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people on on August 5 marking Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir (Kashmir Exploitation Day).
Government and private educational institutions, trade organizations, and various public and private entities would actively participate in these events, a DPR news release said on Tuesday.
In connection with the Youm-e-Istehsal, documentary films and dramas would be screened at the Rawalpindi Arts Council, with free entry for the general public.
Similarly, solidarity walks would be organized in all tehsils of the district and within the Rawalpindi city to show support for the people of Kashmir. Banners and billboards highlighting the exploitation in Kashmir would be installed in streets, intersections, and important public places.
A important meeting was held in this regard on the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi at the DC Office on Tuesday
Chaired by Assistant Commissioner Saddar Hakim Khan, it was attended by AC Cantonment Saad-ur-Rehman and representatives of various departments.
Addressing the meeting, the AC Saddar stated that the August 5 events would highlight the abrogation of the special status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir and the brutalities being inflicted on unarmed Kashmiris by the Indian forces.
Debates, speech competitions, and art exhibitions would be organized in schools and colleges, he added.
At major intersections and public spots in the city, he said, visuals depicting the atrocities faced by the Kashmiri people would be displayed to draw global attention to the humanitarian tragedy.
