
New LLB Degree Programme Reduced To Four Years

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jul, 2025) The Higher Education Commission has announced to reduce the duration of the
LLB degree programme to four years.
The Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) local chapter sources told APP that a letter
had been issued on Saturday to all universities to implement the new four-year LLB degree
of HEC, the HEC issued a notification in light of the Supreme Court decision.
It is worth mentioning here that earlier, the LLB degree Programme across the country
was of five years, the higher education sent a letter to the vice chancellors of all universities
across the country.
A new syllabus has also been released for the four-year degree programme, universities in this
connection have been instructed to update the new syllabus for the degree programme.
