ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) The in-charge of the Anti-Narcotics Force Rehabilitation Center, Dr. Colonel (retd) Malik Ayub Awan, said that Pakistan has proven its defensive capabilities by giving a full and effective response to the enemy.
Talking to APP on the occasion of the completion of one year of the “Battle of Truth,” on Thursday he said that, as in the past, Pakistan’s armed forces once again proved their superiority through professional expertise, effective strategy, and modern technology.
"Despite the enemy’s aggression, Pakistan showed patience and restraint, responding at the right time under a coordinated strategy," Malik Ayub Awan added.
He said that Pakistan’s land, naval, and air forces jointly demonstrated a coordinated multi-domain strategy in which sectors such as cyber, intelligence, and electronic warfare also played an important role.
Col. (retd) Ayub Awan said that Pakistan has always emerged as a responsible state and has never taken the initiative in conflict, instead consistently adopting a defensive strategy.
He urged the international community to play its role in establishing peace in the region and to take notice of elements that increase tensions.
He said that Pakistan is playing a positive role in promoting peace not only in the region but also globally, which is being acknowledged worldwide.
Col. (retd) Ayub Awan further said that Pakistan's diplomatic efforts in the recent circumstances have also been commendable, further enhancing the country's prestige at the global level.
Talking about India, he said that a war-like environment has a deep psychological impact, and that the current situation is akin to a psychological shock for India.
He added that, in such circumstances, it is wise for countries in the region to choose the path of dialogue and peace instead of tension.
