
PHA Begins Preparations For Extensive Tree Plantation

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jul, 2025) The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has officially launched preparations for a comprehensive tree plantation campaign scheduled in the month of August.
In line with directives of the Director General PHA Kareem Bukhsh, efforts were currently underway in the nurseries, where various flowers, plants, and saplings were being prepared to support the upcoming drive.
This initiative aims to enhance the city’s green spaces, including parks, greenbelts, and other public areas. Alongside ornamental flowers, special focus will be given to planting trees and shrubs to ensure long-term environmental benefits.
Strategic planning was also underway for landscaping work in parks and along greenbelts.
This was said by the DG PHA Kareem Bukhsh during a visit to the PHA nursery on Monday.
He emphasized that an intensive plantation campaign will be carried out in August and that thorough preparations have already begun. He reiterated the authority’s commitment to transforming Multan into a greener, more eco-friendly city.
The campaign was being carried out under the leadership of Commissioner Multan, Aamir Kareem Khan, who remains dedicated to making Multan a model green city through collaborative and sustained efforts, he maintained.
