
Director Livestock Inspects Veterinary Hospitals

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jul, 2025) Director Livestock Dr. Syed Nadeem Badar has conducted surprise inspections of various veterinary hospitals and a cattle feed mill in Faisalabad on Tuesday to assess quality of livestock services being provided to farmers.
His visited Civil Veterinary Hospitals in Abbas Pur, Thikriwala, Chak 213/R-B and Greenish Cattle Feed Mill in Jaranwala.
During inspection, he thoroughly reviewed official records including attendance registers, OPD data, hygiene and sanitation standards, Kisan Livestock Baithak logs, Chief Minister Punjab Livestock records, supply chain status, medicine and vaccine stock registers, tentative tour programs, daily diaries, fee slip records, tree plantation logs and Artificial Insemination (AI) documentation.
He directed the field staff to prioritize Phase-II of Punjab Livestock Campaign (PLC) and improve farmer seating arrangements at the hospitals besides ensuring cleanliness and availability of fresh drinking water as well as maintaining uninterrupted supplies of antibiotics and vaccines.
He said that ongoing vaccination drives must be completed promptly while ensuring strict adherence to cold chain protocols.
He also directed the veterinary staff to enhance farmer awareness regarding foot-and-mouth disease, Congo virus and animal care during the monsoon season.
He stressed the need for promoting the use of ADRS Farmer App and timely uploading of livestock data to SMS portal 9211.
The Director Livestock also met with the farmers from nearby villages to gauge feedback on service delivery. The farmers expressed satisfaction with performance and outreach of the Department of Livestock.
Later, the Director conducted a detailed assessment of the Greenish Cattle Feed Mill in Jaranwala. He examined feed storage areas, handling procedures, laboratory testing capabilities and operational systems.
He issued necessary directives to ensure compliance with the Punjab Animal Feed Stuff and Compound Feed Act 2016 and emphasized the supply of high-quality feed to the livestock farmers.
