Finance Division issues notification regarding revised prices of petroleum products which will remain effective for the next fortnight from July 16 midnight
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-July 16th, 2025) The Federal government on Tuesday increased the price of petrol by Rs5.36 per litre and diesel by Rs11.37 per litre.
The prices of light diesel and kerosene oil were not changed.
The Finance Division issued the notification regarding the revised prices of petroleum products which would be remain effective for the next fortnight from July 16.
The hike in the petroleum products is another blow to the consumers already grappling with high inflation.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol went up by Rs5.36 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs272.15 per litre. High-speed diesel was increased by Rs11.37 per litre, bringing its revised price to Rs284.35 per litre.
The price revision follows the government’s routine fortnightly review of petroleum prices, based on global oil trends and recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
The fresh hike is expected to trigger a further rise in transport and commodity costs, affecting both urban and rural populations.
