
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Turns Bearish, Sheds 1,241 Points

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) turned around to bearish trend on Thursday, as the benchmark KSE-100 Index lost 1,241.66 points, showing a negative change of 0.75 percent, closing at 164,444.72 points against 165,686.38 points of the previous trading day
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2025) The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) turned around to bearish trend on Thursday, as the benchmark KSE-100 Index lost 1,241.66 points, showing a negative change of 0.75 percent, closing at 164,444.72 points against 165,686.38 points of the previous trading day.
A total of 3,078,369,285 shares were traded during the day compared to 1,528,361,133 shares on the previous day, while the total value of shares traded stood at Rs50.608 billion against Rs68.604 billion on the last trading day.
As many as 484 companies transacted their shares in the stock market, of which 174 recorded gains and 269 sustained losses, while the share prices of 41 companies remained unchanged.
The three top trading companies were K-Electric Limited with 1,022,414,237 shares at Rs7.
70 per share, WorldCall Telecom with 953,713,941 shares at Rs2.09 per share, and Telecard Limited with 99,870,338 shares at Rs11.34 per share.
Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited witnessed the maximum increase of Rs347.94 per share price, closing at Rs29,736.27, followed by PIA Holding Company LimitedB with a Rs96.00 rise to close at Rs24,646.22 per share.
On the other hand, Nestle Pakistan Limited recorded the maximum decrease of Rs156.43 per share, closing at Rs8,178.57, followed by Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited with Rs101.18 decline to close at Rs9,606.15 per share.
Meanwhile, in the futures market, 330 companies traded shares, out of which 95 recorded gains, 233 sustained losses, and 2 remained unchanged.
