According to Punjab Agriculture Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, the program, launched under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, under the aegis of the Punjab Department of Agriculture and is widely seen as a step forward in professionalising Pakistan’s agriculture workforce.

Meanwhile, following the resounding success of its first phase, this second round reaffirms the government’s commitment to nurturing young talent and addressing the gaps in agricultural extension services.

It is worth mentioning here that the internship is aimed at bridging the divide between academic knowledge and field-level application, enabling participants to contribute meaningfully to ongoing efforts in improving productivity, sustainability, and innovation in farming techniques.
