ANP delegation meets KP Governor to discuss political, security situation

A delegation of the Awami National Party (ANP), led by its provincial president Mian Iftikhar Hussain, called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday to discuss the prevailing political and security situation in the province

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2025) A delegation of the Awami National Party (ANP), led by its provincial president Mian Iftikhar Hussain, called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday to discuss the prevailing political and security situation in the province.

The ANP delegation included Provincial General Secretary Hussain Shah Yousafzai, Vice Presidents Shahi Khan Sherani and Salahuddin, Joint Secretary Hamid Toofan, Cultural Activities Head Akbar Hoti, Youth Secretary Sana Gulzar, and Salar Shakirullah Shinwari.

Also present during the meeting were Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) parliamentary leader in the KP Assembly Ahmad Karim Kundi, provincial president Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, General Secretary Shuja Khan (Shazi Khan), Vice Chairman of Red Crescent Farzand Ali Wazir, Deputy General Secretary Abrar Saeed Swati, and Fazal Hussain.

The discussion focused on the deteriorating law and order situation, provincial challenges, and the need for united political action.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi criticized the provincial government's inaction, saying it had left the province at the mercy of terrorists.

All participants agreed that political unity was essential to safeguarding the province.

The ANP delegation praised the Governor's stance and efforts in advocating for provincial rights.
