
PFA Cracks Down On Non-Compliant Food Businesses

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2025) The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) under the supervision f Deputy Director Operations Dr. Muhammad Qasim Raza, has been taking strict action against food businesses violating food safety laws in Chiniot.
According to PFA spokesman, in a series of inspections, 80 food establishments were checked, resulting in fines totaling Rs 89,000 for non-compliance.
One kilogram of expired and prohibited products was destroyed during the operation. The authority also conducted raids on bakery units, where poor cleaning arrangements, rusty molds, and inadequate drainage and storage facilities were found.
The bakery unit was sealed for serious violations of food safety laws. The Authority's actions aim to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and protect public health.
