Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) management has clarified the circumstances surrounding the recent dismissal of employees at the University, particularly in light of the unfounded allegations
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2025) Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) management has clarified the circumstances surrounding the recent dismissal of employees at the University, particularly in light of the unfounded allegations.
According to spokesperson, the university administration strongly denies any claims of vindictiveness or unjust actions, maintaining that the dismissals were carried out diligently, in strict accordance with established legal and disciplinary procedures.
An inquiry committee was formed to evaluate the cases of those dismissed, chaired by the same person who has held a similar role in previous management. This continuity in leadership undermines any accusations of partiality or bias, rendering such allegations completely unsubstantiated.
The university reserves right to take appropriate actions against individuals whose conduct poses a threat to the institution's growth and integrity.
Allegations of misconduct have been fueled by misinformation, particularly regarding an incident on May 3, 2025.
During a period when the university was officially closed for a weekly holiday, various individuals, including some faculty members, unlawfully accessed university premises.
They forcibly entered restricted areas, including the Chancellor’s office and attempted to undermine the authority of the university—with the scandalous aim of unlawfully dismissing the Registrar,Commodore(R) Syed Sarfraz Ali.
This incident resulted in the disappearance of significant documents, files, checkbooks and laptops. In response, the university security team acted in accordance with its responsibilities by notifying local authorities and filing a report to initiate legal proceedings, thereby safeguarding the institution’s assets, reputation and staff.
It is essential to note that the actions of a few faculty members do not represent the views or positions of the entire fraternity, spokesperson said and added that the university will not tolerate any actions that undermine its mission or circumvent lawful governance.
