ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Mar, 2026) The district administration sealed four petrol nozzles at a petrol pump in Dhamtour after they were found dispensing less fuel during an inspection carried out under the provincial government Good Governance Roadmap.
Officials said the action was taken on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram, who has ordered strict monitoring of petrol pumps across the district. In this regard, the relevant authorities inspected a GO petrol pump in Dhamtour, where the available stock of petrol and diesel and the display of the official government price list were checked.
During the inspection, sufficient stock of petrol and diesel was found at the facility. However, while checking the measurement, four petrol nozzles were found delivering less fuel than the standard gauge, prompting officials to immediately seal the nozzles on the spot.
The district administration stated that inspections will continue to ensure petrol pumps comply with official prices and standard measurement regulations to protect consumers.
