Kohat Police Chief Puts Pilgrim Safety First: Ghamkul Sharif Urs Security Blitz

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Oct, 2025) In order to ensure security for thousands of devotees thronging Ghamkul Sharif Darbar's hallowed precincts, District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat Dr. Zahidullah on Sunday staged a whirlwind inspection of the revered shrine, currently ablaze with fervor for the annual Urs, the local correspondent of APP reported this from Kohat, citing the sources of district administration.
According to the details, during the visit, the DPO reviewed the security and administrative measures taken on the occasion of the Urs. Dr. Zahidullah directed the police officers to focus their full attention on the safety of the pilgrims and ensure immediate action on any suspicious activity.
He also issued orders to the traffic police to strictly implement the traffic plan on the internal and external routes during the Urs so that the pilgrims do not face any kind of trouble.
On this occasion, the DPO expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made for the performance of the duties of the police personnel and directed the officers present on the spot to behave with good manners towards the public.
