
NAVTTC Launches Training Programs To Empower Women Through Skills

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th May, 2026) The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), under the Prime Minister’s vision of a prosperous Pakistan, has launched training programs nationwide in different trades aiming to empower women through skills.
The government has expanded its efforts to empower youth—especially women—through practical, market-driven training programs a nationwide initiative offering free, short-duration technical courses, said a press release.
The program aims to equip women with hands-on skills in trades that are both nationally and internationally opening doors to employment, entrepreneurship, and financial independence.
By focusing on industries with high demand, the initiative seeks to bridge the skills gap while promoting gender inclusion in technical fields.
The training courses being offered including Security Guard, General Electrician, Plumber and Solar Water Heating, UPS and Solar Technician, mobile Phone Repairing, Auto Electrician, Pipe Fitter, sports Fitness Trainer, Home Appliance Repair and Maintenance, and Heating, Ventilation, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
These programs will be conducted such as Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Skardu, Mirpur, Quetta, Gilgit, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Peshawar, Haripur, and Hunza.
Applicants must have at least a middle or Matric level education and fall within the age of 18 to 40 years. All courses are being offered completely free of cost, removing financial barriers to skill development.
Interested candidates can submit their application on the web portal (https://nsis.navttc.gov.pk/sign-in) till May 15, 2026.
