PML-N’s Performance, Leadership Vision Backbone Of AJK’s Progress; Says Maryum Aurangzeb

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2026) Senior Provincial Minister Maryum Aurangzeb said that under the leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Muslim League (N) has consistently prioritized the development, public prosperity,and rights protection of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Addressing a consultative dinner organized at Danyal Palace on Sunday night in connection with the upcoming AJK elections, Maryum Aurangzeb emphasized that PML-N’s politics based on performance and public service. She remarked that Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif delivers on public needs even before they are requested, which stands as a benchmark of her governance.
The event was attended by Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi, former Senator Chaudhry Tanveer Ali Khan, Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, MNAs Malik Abrar Ahmed, Tahira Aurangzeb, former Mayor Rawalpindi Sardar Naseem Khan, MPA Imran Ilyas, PML-N senior leadership, candidate Yasin Lone, Ahmad Raza Qadri, and a large number of party workers.
Maryum Aurangzeb highlighted that during Nawaz Sharif’s tenures, multiple infrastructure, health, education, power and tourism projects were executed in AJK. She outlined key provincial initiatives under CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, including the Green Bus Service, "Suthra Punjab" campaign, student laptops, scholarships and clean drinking water projects.
She added that progress is being made to resolve Rawalpindi’s long-standing water supply issue through practical steps.
Reaffirming national policy, she asserted that Kashmir is Pakistan's jugular vein and that political, diplomatic and moral support for the Kashmirs right to self-determination remains unwavering. She urged voters to support PML-N candidates to strengthen the journey of stability and development.
Addressing the gathering, Minister for Railways, Hanif Abbasi said that Pakistan is paramount and no compromise will be made on its security and sovereignty.
He paid tribute to the armed forces and martyrs whose sacrifices have elevated Pakistan’s international standing and ensured security for the people of Kashmir along the Line of Control (LoC).
Abbasi said the entire PML-N leadership is campaigning unitedly for the AJK elections, adding that the poll is a test of public trust in the developmental vision of Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Detailing development efforts, he mentioned that 50 new green buses will soon be launched in Rawalpindi Cantt, along with the rapid construction of a modern 400-bed hospital in Rawalpindi, set to be completed ahead of schedule.
He also noted that the "Suthra Punjab" program has earned international acclaim.
Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry on the occasion said that Nawaz Sharif’s leadership played a pivotal role in national progress, economic stability, eradication of terrorism and institutional strength.
He highlighted that PM Shehbaz Sharif and CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif are actively advancing this legacy. He added that Senior Minister Maryum Aurangzeb assured concrete measures to address Rawalpindi's water supply issue after being briefed by local residents.
Barrister Danyal emphasized the deep-rooted bond between the people of Rawalpindi, Kashmir, and Nawaz Sharif.
Expressing confidence over worker enthusiasm, he said that just as the public responded to the July 26 gathering, they will deliver a decisive mandate in favor of PML-N on AJK elections day.
MNA Malik Abrar Ahmed, Tahira Aurangzeb, former Senator Chaudhry Tanveer, MPA Imran Ilyas, and former Mayor Sardar Naseem also addressed the event.
