LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jul, 2025) The Punjab police achieved a significant breakthrough in its ongoing crackdown against
criminals operating in the Kacha region of Rajanpur.
In the latest development, seven dacoits affiliated with the Tariq Kajla Umrani gang surrendered
to law enforcement authorities in Kacha Jamal, according to the spokesperson for the Punjab Police.
The surrendered individuals have been identified as Tariq, Abu Bakar, Abdul Rehman, Zia ur Rehman, Hakeem, Shafi, and Hanif who were wanted in multiple heinous criminal cases, and their surrender marks
a critical milestone in the ongoing efforts to establish lasting peace in the region.
The spokesperson noted that this success follows a similar outcome two months ago, when five other dacoits surrendered to Punjab Police after a well-coordinated operation in the same area.
Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr Usman Anwar lauded the performance of Rajanpur Police, crediting their strategic and persistent efforts for compelling the dacoits to lay down arms. He reaffirmed the department’s commitment to continuing operations until the region is completely rid of criminal activity.
