
Lahore Qalandars Name Karachi Boys, Girls Teams

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jul, 2025) Lahore Qalandars have taken a major step towards grassroots cricket development by announcing the Karachi boys and girls squads under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Cricket Talent Hunt, a move aimed at unearthing and nurturing young talent from across Pakistan.
According to Lahore Qalandars’ CEO Atif Rana, the participation of thousands of youngsters in the trials reflects the trust of Pakistan’s youth in the Lahore Qalandars’ vision, said a press release.
Rana highlighted that Lahore Qalandars began their journey of player development ten years ago, and today, many prominent players have emerged through this platform.
He further shared that under this initiative, five teams from each province, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, will be formed to participate in regional tournaments.
The Karachi Girls Squad includes Yasri Aamir, Alizay Sabir, Arijia Haseeb, Amna Zahid, Taskeen Fatima, Kainat Iman, Aneza Arif, Syeda Batool Fatima, Shabnam Hayat, Masooma Jafri, Ubaira Riaz, Faiqa Tariq, Areej Aamir, Maryam Ahmed, and Isha Naeem.
The Boys Squad features Arman Shehzad, Abdullah Javed, Muhammad Siddiq, Umar Farooq, Zain Anwar, Hamza Malik, Ali Shoaib, Muhammad Shaheer, Muhammad Furman, Naveedullah, Syed Zain, Abdul Rauf, Moaz Shah Afridi, Abdul Jaleel, and Syed Rehan Shah.
