Senator Paul To Introduce Amendment To Remove US Sanctions On Russian Lawmakers - Draft

US Senator Rand Paul plans to introduce an amendment during a committee meeting on Wednesday that would lift sanctions against Russian lawmakers if Moscow eliminates its measures against US lawmakers, a draft of the legislation published on Tuesday showed.
WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 25th September, 2018) US Senator Rand Paul plans to introduce an amendment during a committee meeting on Wednesday that would lift sanctions against Russian lawmakers if Moscow eliminates its measures against US lawmakers, a draft of the legislation published on Tuesday showed.
"RECIPROCAL TERMINATION OF SANCTIONS ON LEGISLATORS - If the government of the Russian Federation terminates the application of sanctions with respect to all Members of the United States Senate or House of Representatives, the President shall reciprocally terminate the application of sanctions with respect to members of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation," the amendment says, according to a draft of the legislation published by The Daily Beast.
