Every Indian visa applicant should remember the following points while submitting the visa application.

  • Visa processing may take 15 to 90 days depending on the time it takes to receive clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs of India and the clearance requirements.

If the applicant withdraws the passport the visa application is rejected and he/she has to again apply for the visa.

The High Commission of India can delay or refuse the visa application without specifying any reason. However, the visa fee is not refunded.

  • If the applicant submits misleading or false information in the visa application it will be rejected without assigning a reason.
