13-year-old Domestic Worker Found Dead In Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Jul, 2025) A 13-year-old domestic worker identified as Iqra died under mysterious circumstances in Habibullah Colony, located within the jurisdiction of Mirpur Police Station Abbottabad on Saturday.

According to police spokesperson Azam Mir, the incident came to light when the house owner brought the girl’s body to Ayub Medical Complex early in the morning, claiming she had died of natural causes. A preliminary medical examination was conducted at the hospital.

Following initial procedures, the police contacted the deceased girl’s mother and later shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital, where a post-mortem examination is currently being carried out to ascertain the exact cause of death.

In response to media queries, the police spokesperson clarified that any confirmation regarding signs of any abuse would depend on the findings of the medical report.

The house owner has been taken into custody, and a police investigation team is actively working on the case to determine the facts surrounding the girl's untimely death.
