Price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs3,600 per tola in country’s local markets
KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-July 21st, 2025) Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a significant rise on Monday, reaching an all-time high of Rs361,200 per tola due to an upward trend in the international bullion market.
All Pakistan Supreme Council of Jewellers Association said that the price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs3,600 per tola in the local market.
The rate for 10 grams of gold also saw an increase of Rs3,087, settling at Rs309,671.
The sharp hike is attributed to a $36 rise in the global market, where the price of gold per ounce climbed to $3,387.
Despite the surge in gold prices, the local silver market remained stable, with the price of silver holding steady at Rs4,012 per tola.
The jewellers expected continued volatility in gold prices as global economic uncertainty and demand for safe-haven assets drive international trends.
