Commissioner reviews progress of cardiology institute

Sargodha, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2025) Commissioner Jahanzeb Awan on Monday visited the under-construction Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology (NSIC) in Sargodha to review the development work.

According to the Commissioner spokesperson here, during his visit, he met with 11 newly appointed doctors and received a briefing on the ongoing preparations for healthcare facilities.

Deputy Director Technical Rana Shahid Imran briefed the Commissioner that the project is 80 percent complete, with three senior consultants already on board. He said that the cafeteria and mosque are expected to complete within the next month.

The commissioner directed the officials to prioritize training of medical staff, installation of machinery, and patient facilities to provide quality healthcare services to patients.

The institute aims to provide quality cardiac care services to patients from the region. The commissioner emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination to ensure timely completion of projects.

Principal Sargodha Medical College, Dr Muhammad Waris Farooqa, and other officers were present.
