DHQ hospital motorcycle stand man arrested for overcharging

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2025) Deputy Commissioner Usman Tahir Jappa on Monday paid his third consecutive surprise visit to district headquarters (DHQ) hospital on Monday and got a man arrested for overcharging patients’ attendants at the parking stand, expressing resentment on charging more than what he was permitted to.

He ordered that a fee chart should be displayed prominently at the motorcycle stand of the government hospital.

The DC later visited the hospital where he checked the attendance of doctors and staff, talked to patients and attendants at different wards to get feedback regarding facilities, cleanliness, treatment and medicines. He issued instructions to doctors to improve management and treatment facilities.

Earlier, he visited the fruit and vegetables market and instructed market committee officials to perform their duties diligently to check profiteering and maintain quality. He also reviewed the prices of various commodities and their quality and ordered that prices of fruit and vegetables should remain at a suitable level.

Usman Tahir Jappa later held an open court where he heard complaints of people and issued orders to officials concerned to resolve them.

He also chaired a meeting and received a briefing from Chief Officer Zila Council, Anam Masooma, on development schemes, revenue generated, expenses and other issues.

ADCR Uwaid Irshad Bhatti, ADCG Muhammad Yusuf Cheena, ADC (F&P) Anum Hafeez and other officials were present.
