
Nosherwani Chairs DCC Meeting, Approves Key Development Projects In Kharan

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jul, 2025) Balochistan Minister for Finance and Minerals, Mir Shoaib Jan Nosherwani, chaired a District Coordination Committee (DCC) meeting in Kharan on Saturday alongside Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Soomro and given the approval of multiple welfare initiatives designed to uplift living standards in the region.
The session, attended by officials from law enforcement agencies, government departments, and the district administration, said a news release.
The project approved in the DCC meeting including the solarization of schools to promote clean energy in education, deployment of new ambulances to improve emergency medical services. Installation of water storage tanks to address local water challenges.
Distribution of sewing machines to economically vulnerable women to encourage self-sufficiency.
Minister Nosherwani stressed that these developments were aimed at immediate relief and long-term progress, promising swift implementation to benefit the local population.
Following the meeting, the Minister inspected the Kharan Police Station, reviewing operations including detainee facilities, complaint registration systems, and overall security protocols.
In light of extreme heat conditions, he directed the urgent installation of fans and air coolers in lock-up areas, and engaged directly with officers and detainees to understand their concerns.
Commending the police’s performance, Nosherwani reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring public safety and supporting law enforcement efforts across the province.
Later in the day, the Minister visited the District Headquarters Hospital to assess the execution of prior directives. Demonstrating hands-on leadership, he arranged for the transfer of a critically ill patient to Quetta and noted that he had personally funded similar transfers previously. He emphasized that strengthening public healthcare in Kharan remains a top government priority, and resources are being mobilized to guarantee access to quality medical services.
“We are taking serious steps to address public issues,” Minister Nosherwani stated. “Our goal is to deliver essential services to the people of Kharan and other districts across Balochistan.”
