Rain-thunderstorm Expected At Isolated Places

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th july,2016) : Rain-thunderstorm likely to hit isolated places of upper region of the country while mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country during next 24 hours. Rainfall is expected in Zhob, Kalat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions, KP, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during this duration while light rain forecast along Sindh-Makran coast. Heat low lies over Northeast-Balochistan and its adjoining area.
Weak monsoon currents are penetrating upper and central parts of the country, an official of met office told APP. A shallow wave is also affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 24 to 48 hours.
In last 24 hours weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country. However, isolated rain-thunderstorm occurred in Lahore, D.G.Khan, Zhob divisions, FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan. Rainfall recorded during last 24 hours was Punjab: Okara 20mm, D.G Khan 01mm, FATA: Parachinar 08mm, Balochistan: Zhob 04mm, Gilgit-Baltistan: Astore 03mm and Bunji, Skardu 02mm. Maximum temperatures recorded on Friday remained Nokkundi 44øC, Dalbandin 43, Dadu, Padidan, Lasbela 40øC, Hyderabad, Quetta 38øC, Peshawar 36øC, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, Multan 35øC, Chitral, Lahore, Karachi 34øC, Islamabad, Faisalabad 33øC, Dir 32øC, Kalat 28øC, Hunza, Skardu 27øC and Murree 21øC
