Head Of Venezuela's Constituent Assembly Calls On Supporters To Protect Maduro

MEXICO CITY (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 24th January, 2019) Head of Venezuela's Constituent Assembly, Diosdado Cabello, has called on government supporters to head to the presidential palace and protect President Nicolas Maduro.
Head of Venezuela's opposition-led National Assembly Juan Guaido said at a massive protest in Caracas on Wednesday that he swore to assume executive powers.
The United States and Colombia, among others, has already recognized him as interim president of Venezuela.
"Let's go to the presidential palace to protect Maduro, let's stay on the streets to protect Maduro and the Bolivarian revolution," Cabello told the Telesur tv channel.
On Wednesday, the United States urged Maduro to step down and let Guaido assume the presidency.�
