The United Kingdom will do everything possible to guarantee safety of Russia's Kuzma Minin crew after the vessel ran aground off the UK coast, UK Minister of State for Europe and the Americas told Russian Ambassador to London Alexander Yakovenko on Tuesday.
Kuzma Minin has been stranded off the coast of the UK county of Cornwall since morning.
"UK Deputy Foreign Minister Duncan contacted Russian Ambassador Yakovenko regarding the sailors of the Russian bulk carrier Kuzma Minin stranded near the UK coast due to the weather conditions. Duncan assured Yakovenko that the UK side would do everything possible to ensure safety of the Russian sailors. The Ambassador thanked the Deputy Minister for efficiency and goodwill," the Russian embassy told Sputnik.
