The head of the Democratic Party of Moldova, Vladimir Plahotniuc, won a parliamentary mandate after he secured 72.36 percent of votes in a single-seat constituency in Moldova's general election, the Central Electoral Commission said on Monday after counting 100 percent of the ballots

CHISINAU (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 25th February, 2019) The head of the Democratic Party of Moldova, Vladimir Plahotniuc, won a parliamentary mandate after he secured 72.36 percent of votes in a single-seat constituency in Moldova's general election, the Central Electoral Commission said on Monday after counting 100 percent of the ballots.

According to the commission results, Plahotniuc's closest competitor in constituency number 17 secured 56 percent less.
