MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 09th December, 2018) Paris is seeking to blame its own blunders on Russia by initiating a probe into Moscow's alleged role in the "yellow vest" protests, the chair of the Russian Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs, Konstantin Kosachev, told Sputnik
Earlier in the day, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said that the French Secretariat-General for National Defense and Security (SGDSN) was investigating the allegations of Russia's alleged meddling in the so-called yellow vest rallies that have been raging in France.
"I think such a reaction of the French authorities to the provocations, which are instigated from the outside, first of all, from the United Kingdom and Ukraine, is a manifestation of disrespect for their own people and clear misunderstanding of the true causes of the growing protest within the French society ... The ranks of the world's 'league of losers, who blame their own mistakes and blunders on Russia, are growing," Kosachev said.
