Russian President Vladimir Putin's letter to Syrian President Bashar Assad was about bilateral relations and politico-diplomatic settlement in Syria, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st March, 2019) Russian President Vladimir Putin's letter to Syrian President Bashar Assad was about bilateral relations and politico-diplomatic settlement in Syria, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.
On Tuesday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, on behalf of Putin, paid a working visit to Syria, held talks with Assad and delivered a letter from Putin to the Syrian leader, the Russian Defense Ministry earlier said.
"It was about bilateral Russian-Syrian relations, also about the process of political and diplomatic settlement of the situation in Syria. That's all I can tell you," Peskov said when asked what was in Putin's letter and whether it touched upon Idlib.
