Russian, French State Railway Companies Sign Road Map To Develop Cooperation

Russian Railways and French National Railway Company (SNCF) signed on Tuesday a road map to develop bilateral cooperation on the sidelines of the InnoTrans 2018 exhibition in Berlin, the Russian company said.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th September, 2018) Russian Railways and French National Railway Company (SNCF) signed on Tuesday a road map to develop bilateral cooperation on the sidelines of the InnoTrans 2018 exhibition in Berlin, the Russian company said.
The document was signed by Russian Railways CEO Oleg Belozerov and his French counterpart Guillaume Pepy.
"The road map envisages a number of activities in the field of passenger and freight traffic, infrastructure projects, projects in third countries, the development of railway station complexes, training, innovation and research," the press release said.
The sides also agreed to continue discussing the prospects for participation in the implementation of the project to create a high-speed cargo-passenger corridor "Eurasia."
As for other areas of cooperation, the sides agreed to exchange experience in the field of unification of transport and transfer units, carry out marketing research related to transit container shipments from China to France and from France to China, increase the efficiency of passenger traffic, and exchange experience in the use of digital technologies.
