MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 25th April, 2019) An explosion of a landmine, planted by terrorists in Syria's southern Daraa province, left two children killed and two adults injured, local media reported on Wednesday.
The landmine exploded on a road connecting the towns of Khirbet Ghazaleh and eastern al-Gharia, according to the Sana news agency.
Those injured were sent to local hospital.
Syria has been in a state of civil war since 2011, with government forces fighting against numerous opposition groups and terrorist organizations. In late 2017, the victory over the Islamic State terrorist group (banned in Russia) was declared in Syria and Iraq. Certain territories in the two countries are still being cleared of militants.
