Unattended Backpacks Blasted By Police At New Zealand's Auckland Railway Station -Reports

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th March, 2019) A controlled explosion was carried out on Friday by security officers at the railway station in New Zealand's Auckland where two unattended backpacks were found hours after the deadly attacks in Christchurch, local media reported.
Police cordoned off the area where the backpacks were found and sent a robot, who carried out a controlled explosion, the New Zealand Herald newspaper reported.
According to a railway station's spokesperson, there was no evacuation of the terminal. The incident has not reportedly affected the railway traffic.
Earlier in the day, mass shootings took place at two mosques in the city of Christchurch, leaving at least 40 people killed and 48 more injured.
