UPDATE - At Least 35 Foreign Citizens Fell Victims Of Explosions In Sri Lanka - Reports

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st April, 2019) Thirty-five foreign citizens lost their lives in a series of blasts which occurred in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, while the death toll from the explosions rose to 215, local media reported.
Previously, local media outlets reported that the number of victims from the blasts stood at 207.
Among foreign citizens, who have fallen victims of the attacks, are the citizens of Bangladesh, Denmark, India, Japan, Pakistan and Morocco, the news 1st broadcaster reported citing a representative of a local hospital.
Moreover, other media reports indicated that two nationals of North Korea, one Dutch and two Turkish citizens as well as nationals from France and the United Kingdom were also among the victims.
Eight explosions took place in the island nation on the Easter day, hitting several churches with Catholic worshipers and hotels in the country's capital of Colombo and other cities. The Sri Lankan authorities had declared a curfew across the country following the attacks. Seven people were reportedly detained in connection to the explosions.
