WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 16th January, 2019) The United Sates will be able to conduct research and development banned under the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty after withdrawing from the agreement, US Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Andrea Thompson said on Wednesday.
"Suspension means that we suspend our obligations under the treaty," Thompson said. "That means we can conduct research and development of systems that previously were not allowed under the treaty [that] were banned under the treaty."
