Rahma Raises Breast Cancer Awareness At 'Fight As A Woman' Event

ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 18th Oct, 2018) Awareness leaflets and free check-up coupons for women were distributed at an event at Bawabat Al Sharq Mall to raise breast cancer awareness.
These leaflets and coupons were given during Cancer Patient Care Society (Rahma) participation at an event titled 'Fight as a Woman', which was organised recently by the shopping centre in Baniyas, Abu Dhabi.
On the occasion, Prof. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Director-General of the ECSSR and Chairman of the board of Directors of Rahma, expressed his pleasure at the participation, saying that it comes within the context of the Society’s interest to participate in various national events held in the country which increases Rahma’s ability to communicate directly with all members of the community, and enables it to carry out its mission to fight cancer.
During the event, the Society, in cooperation with the Mall management, launched a breast cancer awareness campaign which featured lectures delivered by specialist doctors and cancer survivors.
It also distributed awareness leaflets and free-check up coupons for women, and familiarised attendees with Rahma's objectives and services.
As part of its efforts to offer cancer survivors a platform to share their experiences, Rahma presented Sarah Al-Shaibani, who spoke during the event and shared with the audience her story and struggle against cancer.
Representatives from the Society also informed the audience of Rahma's various efforts to support cancer patients financially and morally to ease their suffering and help them overcome the disease.
Furthermore, visitors and participants were encouraged to give donations to enable the organisation achieve its mission to provide care for cancer patients and their families.
