
Chiniot Table Tennis Association Elects New Leadership In Unopposed Polls

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Oct, 2025) District Table Tennis Association Chiniot has elected its new leadership unopposed, with Sheikh Shakeel Idrees taking the helm as President and Muhammad Abdullah as General Secretary, the local correspondent of APP reported this from Chiniot on Saturday.
According to the details, the elections, held at the Sheikh Naeem Hockey Stadium in Satellite Town, witnessed a consensus-driven outcome that promises to propel table tennis in Chiniot to new heights. Alongside Idrees and Abdullah, Moazzam Ashraf was elected Chairman, Mian Yousuf Khayali as Vice Chairman, and Chaudhry Muhammad Arif Sindhu as Senior Vice President.
The election process was overseen by Syed Mansoor Nasir, Observer of the Punjab Table Tennis Association, who traveled from Lahore to witness the event. The event drew a significant turnout from local political, social, and civic circles, all converging to support the new leadership and celebrate the spirit of table tennis in Chiniot.
In his first remarks as President, Sheikh Shakeel Idrees vowed to champion the cause of table tennis vigorously. “We will unearth new talent from Chiniot and, with divine support, ensure this game is highlighted at every level,” Idrees declared, setting an ambitious yet hopeful tone for his tenure.
